Empowering Displaced Citizens: Bridging Opportunities for Employment
In the wake of recent events, over 200,000 Israelis have been displaced from their homes in the north and south of Israel since October 7th. This unfortunate circumstance has hindered their access to their previous jobs, posing significant challenges during these difficult times.
At Brothers & Sisters for Israel, we understand the critical importance of meaningful employment in rebuilding lives. Our mission is to provide displaced citizens with access to thousands of paid positions, offering them a pathway to stability until they can return home.
Our Mission
We operate stands at the hotels where the displaced are staying. Here, our professional career consultants engage with individuals, understanding their unique needs and working diligently to match them with suitable job opportunities. Additionally, we have a dedicated WhatsApp number (054-9017708), allowing individuals seeking employment to connect with their personal career consultant for tailored assistance.
How We Assist
We collaborate closely with employers to offer a diverse pool of employment opportunities, and to match employees based on their specific abilities and needs. Our goal is to facilitate seamless connections, ensuring that both employers and displaced citizens find mutually beneficial arrangements.
Building Bridges with Employers
The cost of equipping one Civilian Emergency Squad, which includes an average of 16 volunteers, is approximately $24,000. Our aim to equip all 500 squads for a total cost of approximately $12M USD.
How Can You Help
In the short amount of time that has passed since our inception, we have made significant progress. We've engaged with over 300 displaced citizens, with approximately 50 currently in the process of securing job placements. Furthermore, we've recruited and trained a dedicated team of approximately 100 volunteers to expand our operation country-wide.
Our Achievements So Far
Looking ahead, our overarching goal is to become a significant channel for displaced citizens, aiding them in finding meaningful and beneficial employment. We aspire to collaborate with government agencies to establish lasting connections with communities across the country, fostering resilience and support in these challenging times.
