Industry Support
Recognizing that the traditional industry serves as a vital engine and pillar of the Israeli economy, our primary aim with this initiative is twofold: to help these factories meet customer demands while ensuring job security for employees facing absences due to evacuation, reserve duty, or recovery.
Collaborating closely with Regional Councils and factories close to the northern and southern borders, we have been able to identify plants with significant workforce gaps that we can help close.
To address these needs, we engage dedicated volunteers who provide invaluable support to these industrial plants, ensuring the continuity of their operations.
Our Activities
Since its launch at the end of October, this initiative has contributed over 1,440 volunteer workdays across 20 factories. This milestone underscores our firm commitment to both the economic stability of these organizations and the well-being of their workforce, particularly during challenging times.
We are also assisting the factories, their owners, and employees to apply for various public and private grants, and generally to provide guidance regarding government benefits.
Our Impact
The cost of equipping one Civilian Emergency Squad, which includes an average of 16 volunteers, is approximately $24,000. Our aim to equip all 500 squads for a total cost of approximately $12M USD.
